8:00AM –Â Your guide from Hok Cambodia Journeys will meet you at your hotel for a prompt departure.
8:15AM – Explore the Royal Palace, the official residence of the King of Cambodia. Marvel at the stunning architecture and beautiful gardens.
9:30AM – Located within the Royal Palace complex, the Silver Pagoda is known for its silver-tiled floor and impressive collection of Buddhist artifacts, including a life-sized gold Buddha adorned with diamonds.
10:30AM – Head to the National Museum, which houses an extensive collection of Khmer art and historical artifacts. Take your time to appreciate the beautiful architecture and the serene courtyard.
12:00PM – Enjoy a lunch break at a nearby restaurant. Consider trying local Cambodian dishes at a place like Touk Restaurant or KroVanh Restaurant.
1:30PM – Visit the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum, a former school turned prison during the Khmer Rouge regime. This museum provides a poignant insight into Cambodia’s tragic history.
3:00PM – Take a short drive to the Killing Fields of Choeung Ek. Explore this memorial site and learn about the atrocities committed during the Khmer Rouge era. An audio guide is recommended for a deeper understanding.
5:00PM –Head back to the city and prepare for your evening activity.
